sounds very academic. i have to say this as a german. but swing should be different, shouldn’t it?
she sings well in a delicate way, and sounds german, why not?
The bossa German thing sounds a little disconcerting at first but probably no stranger than an English Girl from Ipanema sounded at the time – and she has an undeniably lovely voice. Great music too.
Not so sure about ‘nostalgia’ .. one of the things I like about bossa is the way it often seems to transcend time. This could have been made 50 years ago, yes, but it could also have been made 50 years in the future.
Have I stopped making sense now?
Smart post either way, thanx!
Awesome, I love the 2nd track – psychenswing – it’s sublime! Really cheesy but in a fun and swinging way. Lovely.
I’m so glad, I’ve lost the adress of this blog for more than a year, and (don’t ask me why) I’ve forgot it’s name (like this could be possible…)
After a series of fortunate events, I’m glad to see that music is still good around here.
Thanks for all…
(and I agree with tom, cheesy but so lovely.)
From france with love.
…and really funny lyrics (for those who understand them). They make me smile all the time.
following you guys for over a year now, always enjoying:)
I’m with Kawa on this one. I laughed out loud when I heard the songs for the first time. And I normally don’t like German lyrics…
<3 Awesome <3
I’d love to buy the CD or at least flac files (I regard mp3’s as an inferior product). But shipping via amazon.de costs a fortune…
